Partnerships, eAnnouncements, Newsletter and more

EUMEDGRID will developing effective communication tools ensuring engagement with stakeholders, user groups and beneficiaries from the e-Science community, deliver themed workshop events fostering knowledge exchange & technology transfer with impact reporting, investigate opportunities for synergies with regional & domain-specific initiatives, and promoting cross-sector collaborative developments.

Main activities will encompass:

  • Regular e-Newsletters on project updates & achievements with articles on Virtual Research Communities, short “challenges” reports, interviews, etc.;
  • e-Brochures on specific themes aimed at raising interest and awareness;
  • Dynamic web content (live interviews from selected events in EU & the Mediterranean; video-clips; short but informative digital content on Grid and EUMEDGRID-Support);
  • Promotional material (bookmarks, fliers, pop-up banners, etc.);
  • Press & media agreements and targeted articles;
  • Localisation of the material for the different beneficiary countries. All the key messages will be reviewed in the light of country-wise specific situation and political sensitivity to address local funding opportunities.

Last but not least a peer to peer communication, using more traditional means such as: telephone, traditional paper mail, etc. will be used. This approach has frequently demonstrated its usefulness in the previous project when applied to specific countries where the personal relationships are still the highest and effective level of communication allowed. The project will provide input for relevant European Commission initiated dissemination activities (e.g., press releases, news bulletins, brochures, success stories, posters, web-based
publications, multimedia material, etc). In this context the project's dissemination messages will also reflect its broader societal and economic impact.
