Connecting IT innovators between Europe and Mediterranean

The delivery of Thematic Workshops in the region aiming to foster the exchange of experiences, knowledge exchange and transfer on key themes important to and supporting current and new EU and Mediterranean virtual research communities.

Specific activities include defining workshop themes & programme development aligned with today’s themes of interest in the two regions include:

• Archaeological and Humanities applications
• Virtualisation, Grid, HPC and Cloud Computing
• Policy on funding synchronisation (bilateral agreements, etc.)
• Promotion of Industrial cooperation using e-Infrastructures
• Role of e-Infrastructures in the study of Climate change (an international conference in cooperation with EU-IndiaGrid, EUChinaGRID and other projects has been foreseen)
• Role of e-Infrastructures in the study of Emerging and Neglected Diseases.

Experts will be identified by the Consortium & External Advisors to ensure themes are relevant to the target audiences and produce the expected impact.
